Prinsegate Surveyors faces RICS disciplinary action amid employee pay dispute

Prinsegate Surveyors, led by founder and CEO Nicholas Prinse, faced disciplinary action by RICS following allegations raised by a former employee during a pay dispute. This led to an investigation and subsequent hearing by RICS. As a result of the hearing, Prinsegate Surveyors was subjected to 'interim measures,' and its registration was suspended for a duration of one year.

“The Disciplinary Panel orders that the registration of Mr Nicholas Prinse and Prinsegate – Chartered Surveyors be suspended for a period of twelve months, with effect from 23 May 2023.”

According to an exclusive report published by The Negotiator. The dispute originated from claims made by a graduate surveyor, a former employee of Prinsegate Surveyors, regarding unpaid salary, bonus, and expenses. The case was brought before an employment tribunal, which ruled in favour of the employee, ordering Prinsegate Surveyors to settle the outstanding financial obligations.

Nicholas Prinse, of London-based Prinsegate Surveyors, told The Neg that once the decision of the RICS disciplinary panel was made public on May 23, the new business for his practice “halved overnight”.
