DM Hall Expands Leadership with Two New Partners

DM Hall, one of Scotland's prominent independent firms of chartered surveyors, has welcomed two new Partners to its 126-year-old partnership, bringing the total number of partners to 26. Martin Elsby, previously the Director of the firm's national Building Consultancy, and Ian Davidson, former Director of DM Hall's East of Scotland commercial agency arm, have joined the leadership team.


Martin Elsby, a Chartered Building Surveyor with over 20 years of experience across diverse property sectors in the UK, including commercial, industrial, retail, leisure, healthcare, education, transport, and utilities, expressed his pride in being appointed a Partner. His expertise spans project management, contract administration, pre-acquisition surveys, building condition surveys, dilapidations, and providing legal, technical, and statutory advice to property stakeholders.


Ian Davidson, a Chartered Surveyor since 2001, returned to DM Hall in December 2020 after a previous stint with the firm from 2005 to 2007. He brings valuable experience, having served as Head of Office at Lambert Smith Hampton during the interim period. Ian expressed his admiration for DM Hall's culture and business approach, stating his delight at joining the partnership of such a highly respected firm.
