DM Hall Announces Consolidation of Branding, Dropping Baird Lumsden

In a strategic move aimed at enhancing their online presence and streamlining operations, DM Hall, the 126-year-old Scottish firm of chartered surveyors, has decided to drop its specialist rural property brand, Baird Lumsden. The decision to combine the two brands comes following the guidance of consultants and aims to create a more cohesive and unified online platform for the firm.

As of this autumn, the Baird Lumsden brand will no longer be featured on office signage, marketing materials, or sale boards, marking a significant transformation in the company's branding strategy.

The decision to consolidate the brands was influenced by a recent contract signed with a web design agency to revamp DM Hall's website. John McHugh, DM Hall's Managing Partner, expressed the firm's commitment to providing an improved online experience for both their business and clients.

McHugh elaborated, "Part of that discussion involved a review of where we presently sit with, effectively, two websites, being the main DM Hall website and another branded Baird Lumsden, which deals solely with the rural part of our business with services offered across the country from a Bridge of Allan base under the direction of Donald Yellowley and his team."

Following a comprehensive evaluation, it was concluded that the Baird Lumsden branding would be phased out entirely. All the services offered by DM Hall will now be detailed and described on the latest version of the DM Hall website, which will serve as a comprehensive resource for all their clients.

The move to consolidate branding under DM Hall has been met with full support from the rural division of the company. McHugh emphasised, "Our rural division is fully supportive of the changes proposed and it is believed that being fully under the umbrella of the main DM Hall branding will bring a range of added benefits."

DM Hall will continue to operate from its Bridge of Allan location with newly branded premises and will maintain its commitment to offering a broad spectrum of property-related services to the rural market across the entire country. This consolidation aims to provide clients with a more streamlined and cohesive experience while ensuring that DM Hall remains at the forefront of property services in Scotland.
